Painting, Car, Zoo

Hey there, I am back! Life has been busy lately. I just spent about 8 days in Tyler with my mom and dad. That was a well needed vacation. Thanks mom and dad, I really enjoyed my semi-vacation! Mom and I painted two rooms. I can only show you one of the rooms right now, because my sister has no idea what color we painted the second room. (We aren't telling her!) She will be here at the end of July, so she is having to wait to see it! It looks great though! Mom needed some color in her house. I am trying to talk mom into a reddish color for the kitchen/dinner table area. I think I have been successful, we just have to find some time to do it.
I was in Tyler from Friday-Sunday and had to come back to Denton for a job interview on Monday. Monday after the interview Russell and I headed back to East Texas. The interview went well and I am still waiting to hear something. Just keep praying! We spent a little bit of time with Russell's parents on Monday evening and then headed to my parents house.

Tuesday morning we woke up to a phone call from my mom. She was outside the house looking at Russell's car. Someone had vandalized the car. They had taken a concrete rock and just chunked it at the car a few times. Nothing was stolen which was great because I had accidentally left my purse in there and Russell's IPOD was in there. We decided it was just kids out of school who were bored! I am so glad for insurance. They were so nice and took care of everything. We were able to get the back windshield fixed that same day and the body of the car will be fixed the second week of July. Russell went out to camp that day and mom and I painted. The rest of the week was pretty uneventful.

I was able to take this semi-vacation to beautiful East Texas because Grant got to have his first away from mom and dad camping experience. He got to go to Camp Deer Run after being on the waiting list. We were all so excited. Russell and I went to visit him on Wednesday night and he was having so much fun. We picked him up today and brought him home and he talked all about it. Then he fell asleep until we got to his house. He was so tired, but he had so much fun! I love being able to share a place that I love so much with someone else.

The last group of pictures is when we took the boys to the zoo! We has so much fun! Fort Worth Zoo was great. I love being out and enjoy nature!

As for Russell and I we are still just living life. Russell is counting down the days until he gets to go golfing in Alabama. I am checking my phone all the time making sure it still works and I haven't missed any calls that might lead to a job! I think all of the principals are on vacation until the end of July. So I am going to keep being patient. Thank you for praying and I ask that you continue to pray! Also, in a week we will be going to Kansas to see my sister and her family. I can't even tell you how excited I am about that. I can't wait to see Caleb and Hannah. YAY!

The Green Room!

The Spoiler and Break light are busted!

Notice the shattered glass.

Gaving and Grant
We bought some sticks with Bird seed on them and they go to feed the birds! It was so cool.
This thing was HUGE!!!
After a long day at the zoo we are still smiling!

It's 3am and I just played MASH

It would seem to be that I am having a little problem sleeping. Therefore, I am watching The Cosby show and playing Mash. My friend Susan had it on her blog and it just reminded me of the good old days. I used to play this all the time. We used to come up with all sorts subjects. So here are my results.
-
Your husband's name is Matthew McConahay and you have 3 children. You're a Doctor who drives to work every day in a Pink Jaguar.
It's truly a wonderful life when you consider the countless romantic nights you have spent with Matthew McConahay in your shack in London, England.
-
If you play MASH go to http://www.dollarshort.org/mash/. I just realized I don't know how to put a website on here without putting the whole url thingy. How do you do that?
-
Anyways, that is supposed to be my future life. I think I spelt my husbands name wrong. Oops. I like my new car though. I have always wanted a pink jag.
-
I am going to post some pictures of the boys I am keeping soon. I just haven't had time yet. We are going to stay with my wonderful in-laws tomorrow night and then going to camp on Sunday. I am very excited about going to camp. YAY!!! So that's all for now. I am going to continue watching Bill Cosby until my body tells me I can go back to sleep. Goodnight!

Pics and Oscar

I just wanted to post some pictures from the weekend.
-
Here is my mom and I after our long day of shopping in Canton. We went to get some decorations for her bedroom. I had never been so it was quite an experience. Thanks for the great day Mom! I love you!

Rachel, Annette and I at Adam Panter's wedding. We all wore black and white so we of course had to take a picture.

Russell and I at the reception. He gives me a hard time that I like to take pictures, but I know that in 10 years we will be so glad we have captured some great moments.

This has nothing to do with my weekend. It is actually a left over from last Monday. Russell came to pick me up from the airport on Monday. While we were waiting for my luggage, he told me he got me a present. When we got home and there it was, I had a Betta sitting on the bar. This was a great present because I have been talking about wanting a fish for months. Thanks honey, I love you!I decided to name him Oscar. I think this might count as my first pet, because I don't remember having any growing up. Mom you can correct me if I am wrong. So let me take this time to introduce you to, Oscar, my new betta!

That's all! I start babysitting this week. Maybe I will have some cute pictures of the boys to put up by the end of the week. Keep praying for a job for me.
